The LifeFlight Bundaberg-based aeromedical crew today (Monday 15 June) airlifted a woman to hospital after she fell from a horse while mustering on a rural property northwest of Mundubbera.
The rescue helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 10.24am and landed on the property, bringing a specialist aeromedical team directly to the patient.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to assess and treat the patient for pelvic injuries.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was airlifted to the LifeFlight Bundaberg base where she was transferred by ambulance to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
