The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a semi-trailer rollover northeast of Roma.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 10.12am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed on a rural road near the scene.
The incident was also attended by Queensland Fire Department (QFD) and Queensland Police Service (QPS).
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for facial and arm lacerations as well as severe back pain.
The man, aged in his 80s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
The LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
