LifeFlight airlifts man after quadbike rollover

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a quadbike rollover in the Western Downs region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 11.15am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed at a private property near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient for a significant leg injury.

Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers and Queensland Fire Department (QFD) firefighters also attended in a multi-agency response.

The patient, in his 20s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital for further treatment.

The LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
