LifeFlight airlifts man after car crash near Camooweal

The Mount Isa-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted a man after a vehicle rollover near Camooweal.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 5.35pm and landed at the Camooweal Aerodrome.

It is reported the man was found by family approximately 40 kilometres from his crashed car and then driven to the Camooweal Health Clinic.

The critical care Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with the Camooweal Health Clinic team to treat the patient.

The man, in his 40s, was flown to Mount Isa Hospital with suspected chest, neck and back injuries.
