The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a teenager to hospital after a horse fall.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 3.30pm by Retrieval Services Queensland to a rural property in the North Burnett region and landed in a paddock near the scene.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to intubate the patient who sustained significant head injuries.
She was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for further treatment.
