LifeFlight airlifts man after dog attack

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a man to hospital this afternoon, after he suffered a dog bite.

It is believed the man was camping on a private property in the Sunshine Coast region, when a dog belonging to another camper, bit him on the face.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the man for significant facial injuries before the helicopter arrived.

The rescue chopper landed in a paddock at 3.30pm.

The man in his 40s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
