LifeFlight airlifts elderly woman after horse fall

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted an elderly woman to hospital after she fell from a horse.

The rescue chopper was tasked to the Somerset region at around 11am after the woman, aged in her 80s, fell while riding.

A LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic joined local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to stabilise the patient before she was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
