RACQ LifeFlight Rescue joins search for man missing in flood waters

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has joined the multi-agency search and rescue operation to help locate a man missing in flood waters, south of Pittsworth.

It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 40s, was washed away in flood waters at around 6 this morning.

The rescue chopper was tasked just after 9:30am by the Queensland Police Service (QPS).

Local QPS officers, Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) swift water rescue crews are also involved in the search effort.

The search is continuing.
