A toddler has been airlifted to hospital, after falling into a campfire, earlier today.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew to a campground, south of Gympie, shortly after 7pm (Saturday 14th Nov).
It’s believed the young girl fell backwards into the fire, but was quickly pulled out.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first on scene and treated the toddler for minor burns to the back of her arm and legs.
Once the aeromedical crew arrived, she was stabilised for her flight to hospital.
She was escorted by her mother to the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
She travelled in a stable condition.
