LifeFlight SGAS chopper airlifts injured dirt bike rider

LifeFlight’s Roma-based Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter has airlifted an injured motorbike rider to hospital.

It’s believed the woman was riding at a private property, north east of Roma, when she lost control and crashed.

The rescue chopper was called to the scene around 10:30am.

The LifeFlight SGAS Pilot was able to land near the accident scene.

The patient, aged in her fifties, suffered lower limb injuries and was flown to Roma Hospital, in a stable condition.
