Refresher training for underwater helicopter safety

If you have completed PMAWHS214 HUET or AVIF0039 EBS through LifeFlight within the last two years, you may be eligible for this refresher course. This refresher course ensures that you remain proficient in essential emergency response techniques for underwater helicopter safety and escape, while utilising compressed air.

The HUET Written Assessment will be provided prior to the commencement of the course. This will be marked by an assessor before organising attendance for the practical component of the course. If the student is not successful in completing the knowledge component of the course, they will be advised to attend the full course. LifeFlight Training Academy recommend completing the theory training every second HUET enrolment to best utilise the skills and knowledge contained in this course.

The RPL component of this course can only be offered if you have attended a LifeFlight HUET theory component within the last two years. This policy is due to the currency issues created by the lack of being able to utilise the skills and knowledge contained in this course on a regular basis.

Important: Learners wishing to complete the one-day EBS & HUET Refresher Course, must have been previously assessed as competent in PMAWHS214 Undertake helicopter safety and escape unit. If you have not previously completed HUET, you will not be eligible to complete both EBS & HUET on the same day. Please contact us before proceeding with your enrolment if you are unsure.
