RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts survivor after car and semi-trailer collide

Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a crash survivor to hospital, after his car collided with a semi-trailer, east of Dalby.

It’s believed he was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services.

The rescue crew was called into action just before 9am.

The pilot landed the helicopter on a stretch of highway, that had been closed by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.

The aeromedical team worked with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the man, aged in his 30s.

He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a critical condition.
