RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts injured motocross rider

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew has flown an injured man to hospital, after a motocross accident, in the South Burnett.

The chopper was called to the scene, at a dirt bike track, just before 12.30pm today (Sunday 28 March).

The patient, a man aged in his 40s, had suffered shoulder, arm and chest injuries.

He was treated by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and the QAS Flight Paramedic, before being flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

He travelled in a stable condition.
