Woman airlifted from two-car highway crash

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a young woman to hospital after she was injured in a collision between two vehicles in the Southern Downs region.

The rescue helicopter was called into action at 10.45am (Sun 10th March).

The pilot landed the aircraft on the highway, which had been closed by Queensland Police Service officers.

Queensland Ambulance Service Paramedics and the aeromedical crew assessed several patients.

A woman, aged in her twenties, who suffered leg injuries was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
