Two RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters tasked after serious car crash

Two RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopters have been called into action overnight, after a serious crash in  the Lockyer Valley.

The Brisbane-based chopper was initially tasked around 9.45 last night (Sunday 27 March).

The pilot landed at an oval near the scene, from where the medical team travelled to the crash site by road.

The crew then airlifted a male patient to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a critical condition.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew then airlifted another male patient, from a hospital near the crash scene.

Due to weather conditions, the patient was flown to Archerfield Airport.

He was then transported to hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).
