The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a teenager, after he was seriously injured in a ute and truck crash, in the North Burnett region.
The aeromedical crew was tasked to the area this afternoon and landed at a hospital, where the patient had been transported to by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.
The patient was treated for multiple injuries, including to his head, before being flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
He travelled in a serious but stable condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Flight Nurse.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was also called into action, with the crew assisting in treating the patient.
