The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a teenage girl to hospital, after she was seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident this morning (Sunday 14th March).
The rescue chopper was sent to a private property, south west of Ipswich, just before midday.
It’s believed the high school-aged teenager had been passenger in the ATV, when the driver lost control.
The patient was reportedly ejected from the vehicle, as it rolled.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were on the scene, when the aeromedical team arrived.
The girl was treated for several injuries, before being flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital, in a serious condition.
An adult male, known to the patient, travelled in the chopper, as an escort.
