Rescue chopper crew joins search for missing surf skier

The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter joined a multi-agency search this morning, for a surf skier, missing from North Stradbroke Island.

The chopper was tasked, just before 8am (Sunday 30th May).

The pilot conducted a grid search of an area east of Moreton Island and to the north of North Stradbroke Island.

The crew searched for two hours, without any sign of the missing person, before returning to base to refuel.
