The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew airlifted a man to hospital today after the cement truck he was driving rolled.
The aeromedical team was tasked to the North Burnett region at around 8:30am.
The pilot and Aircrew Officer (ACO) landed the chopper on a stretch of highway that had been closed off.
The LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical team worked alongside Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) personnel.
The patient was treated by local QAS paramedics and the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic for head and internal injuries.
The man, aged in his 50s, was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
