The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a woman to hospital, after a feeding silo fell on her in the Southern Downs.
The rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene shortly after midday (Saturday, 9th July).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue pilot landed the aircraft on a private property, where the aeromedical crew met with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
The aeromedical crew, along with local QAS paramedics, treated the woman for multiple injuries, including a broken leg.
The patient, who is aged in her twenties, was stabilised before being flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
