The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a critically injured teenager to hospital, after he was trapped by machinery, in the Western Downs region.
It’s believed the teen was crushed, sustaining critical injuries to his head and chest.
The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, around 2.15 this afternoon.
The crew worked with personnel from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), Queensland Police Service (QPS) and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES), to treat the patient.
He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.
The boy was in a critical condition.
