RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts man run over by tractor

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured man, after he was involved in a tractor accident, earlier today.

It’s believed the man had been slashing grass, with the tractor, at a private property, when he lost control and was consequently run over by the machine.

The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, in the Lockyer Valley, shortly before 11am, where the pilot was able to land the aircraft nearby.

Paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) worked alongside the aeromedical crew to stabilise the man, for his flight to hospital.

He suffered significant chest injuries and was flown in a serious but stable condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
