The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after he was injured in a motorbike crash, earlier today (April 11th).
It’s believed the man was riding through a forestry, in the Fraser Coast region, when he lost control and crashed.
The rescue chopper was called into action shortly before 11am.
Due to the terrain, the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Critical Care Flight Paramedic was winched down to the scene.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue pilot then landed the aircraft in a paddock near by.
Once the patient was stabilised, local QAS paramedics drove the injured man and QAS Flight Paramedic to rendezvous with the chopper.
The man, aged in his fifties, suffered lower body injuries and was flown in a stable condition to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
