Missing man located after search between Mount Isa and Duchess

The Mount Isa-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter joined a search yesterday afternoon (Saturday 30th November) for a man reported missing in remote countryside.

It’s believed the man’s vehicle had been found abandoned.

The rescue helicopter flew between Mount Isa, Cloncurry and Duchess with a Queensland Police Officer on-board, searching for the man, aged in his thirties.

The crew searched for more than three hours along roads, railway tracks and creeks, with no sign of the missing man as of Saturday evening.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) located the man on Sunday morning, alive and well.
