The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a female toddler to hospital, after she was reportedly crushed by a car, this afternoon.
The rescue chopper was called to the Gympie region, at 1:20pm.
It’s believed the girl had been on sand, at a recreational facility, when she was hit by the vehicle.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were treating the young patient, when the aeromedical team arrived.
She was treated for several injuries, before being flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital, in a serious condition.
The toddler was airlifted under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
An adult, known to the patient, also travelled in the helicopter.
