The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a critically injured pedestrian to hospital, after he was struck by a vehicle in the Lockyer Valley.
The rescue chopper was called in shortly after 7:30pm and landed in a clearing, close to where the incident happened.
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) transported the patient to the rescue helicopter.
Once the patient arrived at the chopper, an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic worked alongside local paramedics, to stabilise him.
He had suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
