LifeFlight SGAS chopper joins search for lost walkers

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter has joined a search overnight, for a family who lost their way in bushland while walking, in the Southern Downs.

It’s believed the family of four had been walking on a private property, when they became lost, yesterday afternoon (7th July).

Queensland Police Service called the chopper to the area around 11pm.

The walkers were found shortly after the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter started searching and were safely walked out by crews on the ground.

They did not require airlifting to hospital.
