Motorcyclist airlifted after colliding with a car

Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a woman to hospital, after she was injured in a motorcycle crash, in the Scenic Rim region.

It’s believed she had been travelling around a bend, when her bike crashed into an oncoming car.

The rescue chopper was tasked around 2:45, this afternoon (Saturday 29th May).

Due to the location of the accident, the pilot landed the rescue chopper about one kilometre from the scene.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics at the accident site treated the woman for a serious hip injury, before driving her to the waiting rescue chopper.

The aeromedical crew stabilised her and airlifted her to Toowoomba Hospital.

The woman, aged in her fifties, travelled in a stable condition.
