Man airlifted to hospital after motorcycle crash

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical today airlifted a man to hospital after a motorcycle crash.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 7pm to a stretch of highway in the Goondiwindi region.

The helicopter landed at a truck stop near the incident scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic, working with local QAS paramedics, intubated and stabilised a man in his 20s with head, chest and back injuries.

He was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
