LifeFlight airlifts woman after car crash

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a woman following a single vehicle rollover in the Somerset region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 7.45am and landed in a paddock near the incident.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the woman to the helicopter nearby.

The woman was treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor, QAS flight paramedic and local QAS paramedics for head and chest injuries.

She was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) for further treatment.
