The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has airlifted a woman after the motorcycle she was riding crashed.
The LifeFlight crew was tasked to the scene in the Bundaberg region at 12:30pm this afternoon and was able to land in a nearby paddock close to the crash.
It is believed the female was riding with a group of friends, before she lost control and her motorcycle veered off the road, hit a ditch and went through a fence.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS officers to treat the woman, aged in her 50s, for severe head injuries.
She was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
