LifeFlight airlifts man to hospital after farming incident

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital following a farming incident.

It is believed a man aged in his 60s received a significant leg injury when it was reported that a cable snapped while he was installing metal fencing on a private property in the Lockyer Valley Region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1.05pm and landed on a road near the scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient.

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
