LifeFlight airlifts man after motorbike crash

The Sunshine Coast LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man from the Beerburrum West State Forest following a motorcycle crash.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 1pm and landed on a dirt road near the scene.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the patient, in his 50s, to the helicopter.

The man was treated for chest injuries by QAS paramedics working with the LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic.

He was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
