The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter has airlifted a young woman to hospital, after she survived a head on car crash, this morning.
The rescue chopper was called to the scene, in the Southern Downs region, shortly before 9am.
The aeromedical crew landed in a paddock nearby, before assisting local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, at the crash site.
The teenage passenger from one of the vehicles, who suffered multiple injuries, was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and LifeFlight Critical Care Paramedic.
