Brisbane Broncos call in LifeFlight to cure footy fever

The Dalby Leagues Club was running hot with footy fever today, as the Brisbane Broncos took over the town, for the annual Arrow Energy fan day.

There was an extra buzz in the air for keen footy fans, as LifeFlight’s Toowoomba-based Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) AW139 helicopter touched down, in the centre of the action.

“We love giving the community the chance to look inside the chopper,” LifeFlight pilot Dave Hampshire said.

“So often the public will only see the LIfeFlight SGAS Rescue helicopter from a distance, flying through the skies”

Broncos players also enjoyed spending the morning with their dedicated fans.

“We always enjoy heading out to Dalby and interacting with the people there,” said Broncos’ player Anthony Milford.

“The players understand that these are opportunities to give the Western Downs fans real interaction with the NRL and the Broncos.

“The Arrow Energy Fan Day is always a big event in the area and we can’t wait to be a part of it again.”
