The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured man to hospital, after his vehicle rolled and plunged down a gully, on Christmas morning.
The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, southwest of Millmerran, shortly after 7am, where the pilot was able to land in a paddock nearby.
It’s believed the vehicle veered off the road and crashed down a seven metre gully beside the road.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), Queensland Police Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service personnel were all in attendance to help free the driver.
The patient, aged in his seventies, suffered multiple injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital, in a serious but stable condition under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Critical Care Flight Paramedic.
