Injured motorbike rider airlifted after off-road accident

The rescue helicopter was called into action just before 5 o’clock, this afternoon.

The chopper landed in a clearing, around 200 metres from the accident site.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic helped QAS paramedics at the scene treat the patient’s injuries.

The dirt bike rider was stabilised and carried on a stretcher to the waiting helicopter.

The man, aged in his 40s, was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
