The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a motorbike rider to hospital, after he was injured while attempting a jump, at a motocross track.
The crew was called to the scene, at a private property in the Gympie region, just after 1.30pm (Tuesday 22 September).
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic joined other QAS paramedics in treating the patient.
The man, aged in his 30s, was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s the third motorbike accident Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews have been tasked to in the last five days.
