Man airlifted after being trapped under heavy machinery

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured man, after his leg became trapped under a heavy ride-on roller, in the South Burnett region.

It’s believed the man had been using the machinery to roll a driveway, when the accident happened.

The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called into action around 12.15pm and the pilot was able to land near the private property.

The aeromedical crew joined Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel at the scene.

The man was flown to Toowoomba Hospital, with multiple injuries.

He travelled in a stable condition, under the care of the aeromedical team.
