The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a woman from the Southern Downs region after she was injured in a horse incident.
It is believed the woman in her 30s was kicked while handling a horse on a private property and suffered injuries to her chest and leg.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 2.35pm, landing in a paddock near the incident scene.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight nurse worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the patient.
She was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
