The Brisbane and Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crews today airlifted two patients to hospital after a collision between two vehicles and a motorbike in the Scenic Rim region.
The rescue helicopters were tasked at 11am by Retrieval Services Queensland and were able to land in a paddock near the scene.
In a multi-agency response, the critical care LifeFlight doctors and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedics worked with QAS paramedics to treat multiple patients.
The Brisbane aeromedical crew treated a male in his 20s with significant injuries. He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The Sunshine Coast aeromedical crew treated a male in his 20s for serious injuries.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
