The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew yesterday airlifted a man to hospital after he fell from a truck.
The rescue chopper was tasked to a rural road in the Western Downs region west of Meandarra at 11:30am.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the man for back injuries.
The patient, aged in his 60s, was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.
Tasked by Queensland Ambulance Service, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
