LifeFlight airlifts man after ute rollover

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew tonight airlifted a man to hospital following a single-vehicle rollover.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 4.40pm to the Bunya Highway in Kumbia and landed in a clearing near the incident.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat a man in his 40s for head injuries.

He was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
