The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted a man to hospital after a motorbike crash in the Western Downs region.
The rescue helicopter was tasked at 11.40am and landed at a nearby campground.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the man for back and chest injuries.
The man, aged in his 40s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital for further treatment.
Tasked by Queensland Ambulance Service, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
