LifeFlight airlifts truck driver after crash

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a man to hospital yesterday after a two-truck crash in the Moreton Bay region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 10:35pm and landed on the road close to the scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat a male in his 50s for head injuries.

He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for further treatment.
