The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has airlifted a woman to hospital after a crash in the Sunshine Coast region.
The rescue helicopter was tasked at 4.25pm yesterday following an incident involving a vehicle and truck.
The crew was able to land the helicopter on the road near the scene, which had been closed by emergency services.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for head and abdominal injuries.
A woman in her 30s was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
