RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts man crushed by tractor

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted an injured man, after he was involved in a serious tractor accident in the South Burnett region.

It’s believed the man had been riding a tractor on a private property, when it crashed into a tree and he was consequently crushed by the vehicle.

The man, aged in his 60s, suffered lower leg injuries.

The rescue chopper was called into action just after 6.20pm (Sat, January 14) and landed near the scene a short time later.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) and Queensland Police Service (QPS) personnel to assist the man.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic stabilised the patient before he was flown Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
