The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after he suffered a burn to the face, while reportedly trying to light a fire.
It’s believed the man was burning off rubbish, on a property north of Toowoomba.
The rescue aircraft was called to the scene, around 12.30 this afternoon (Monday 26 December).
The aeromedical team joined local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics in treating the man, before he was loaded into the helicopter.
The patient, aged in his 50s, was flown to Toowoomba Hospital, in a stable condition.
