RACQ LifeFlight Rescue joins search for missing teenager

The Mount Isa RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has joined an ongoing multi-agency search for a missing teenager, in remote North West Queensland.

The crew was tasked by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) this morning to search an area near Richmond, for the 19-year-old woman and the four-wheel-drive she had last been seen near.

It follows an extensive aerial search performed by the helicopter crew yesterday (Sunday 23 October), which covered more than 700 kilometres, also tasked by QPS.

The pilot followed the road from Cloncurry to Four Ways, then to Julia Creek and back to Cloncurry, but unfortunately the crew found no signs of the missing woman.

It’s believed the female was last seen in Richmond last Sunday, October 16.
