The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a critically injured man, after two vehicles reportedly collided head-on, south of Maryborough today.
The chopper was one of two rescue aircraft called to the scene, just after 10 o’clock this morning.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue and Queensland Government Air (QGAir) helicopters both landed on the highway, which had been closed by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) personnel were also in attendance.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew airlifted a man, aged in his 20s, to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, with multiple injuries.
He travelled in a critical condition.
